For over 30 years, Lockheed Martin Canada has been the trusted partner of the Canadian Forces in Electronic Warfare, offering comprehensive design, development, production, integration, and in-service support. As the sole full-service Electronic Warfare company in Canada, we’ve successfully delivered over 40 intricate Electronic Warfare systems to the navy, air, and land forces. Today, we’re proud to introduce the next generation of advanced Electronic Countermeasures systems to the Royal Canadian Navy. Our commitment to the Canadian Armed Forces extends beyond product delivery; we continue to offer critical Electronic Warfare support services. Additionally, our Electronic Warfare offerings for both domestic and international markets feature the RAVEN Electronic Countermeasures (ECM). This cutting-edge system employs a variety of jamming techniques, providing effective, modern DRFM-based on-board Radio Frequency (RF) ECM.
Harnessing the power of advanced technologies, we offer Coronis® – the groundbreaking, Windows-based solution for Electronic Warfare Operational Support. This fully integrated platform revolutionizes mission data file production with its equipment-specific approach, leveraging software automation to enhance reliability, ensure repeatability, and significantly reduce manpower requirements. To counter the ever-evolving ASM threat, we employ a combination of deception techniques, including noise and self-synchronizing angle deception using cross polarization, effectively denying hostile forces the exploitation of the electromagnetic spectrum. Furthermore, our suite of products includes cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence-powered ECM technologies, designed to address the unknown and adaptive challenges posed by modern warfare. Complementing these offerings, we provide land or lab-based Electronic Warfare Stimulation/Simulation services, supporting Original Equipment Manufacturer naval Electronic Support Measures and/or ECM systems, thereby ensuring comprehensive preparation and readiness.

How Do Signal Jammers and Anti-Jamming Measures Impact 5G Connectivity?
Signal jamming remains a significant threat to modern communication technologies. As wireless communication systems like mobile phones, Wi-Fi, and IoT devices become more prevalent, they increasingly face disruption and interference from signal jammers. These jammers have evolved in both complexity and affordability, posing a growing challenge to secure signal transmission. Despite advancements in other areas, techniques to counteract signal jamming have stagnated, leaving critical infrastructure communications vulnerable. The need for effective solutions to this persistent problem has become urgent, as the reliability of our communication systems is crucial in today’s connected world.
This project aims to address a critical issue: the threat posed by jammer devices to local infrastructure. These devices work by overwhelming legitimate signals, effectively ‘shouting louder’ to disrupt and block them. The consequences are particularly severe when considering vital telecommunication systems, including GSM communications, Defense Ministry communications, and Emergency Services Communications. Disruptions in these areas can lead to mission-critical failures, compromising health, security, and other sensitive communications. Although available research and literature have attempted to solve this problem, success rates have varied. Therefore, this project seeks to underscore the urgent threat to our local infrastructure and develop a reliable method to suppress and minimize this menace.
